Cooking Instructions
10 steps
Heat oil in a pressure cooker or pan, add cumin seeds and let them splutter
Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown
Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies, sauté for 2 minutes
Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften
Add turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt. Mix well
Add chicken pieces and cook on high heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally
Add water and mix well. If using pressure cooker, cook for 3 whistles
If using pan, cover and cook for 20-25 minutes until chicken is tender
Add garam masala and simmer for 2-3 minutes
Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with rice or roti
